Hobby Horse Adventures Frequently Asked Questions
Hobby horsing involves riding a horse (head on a stick) over jumps, cross country, hacks and dressage. Made famous by the Finland Championship Hobby Horsing, it’s now growing phenomenally across the UK on a local, regional and national basis.
Most hobby horse competitions have hobby horses available for you to use for free during a class or to be loaned out all day for a small fee. Once your child has been once it is pretty certain that they will want to go again and we offer a great selection of hobby horses for sale that really are hand selected for quality and price.
Here at Hobby Horse Adventures we display a large selection of the events on our home page and are currently in negotiation to list as many events as possible across the UK. Please click here to go to our homepage where you can see some of the hobby horse events details.
We welcome hobby horse beginners with open arms. They are the backbone of the success and growth that the current UK market is seeing. Yes, of course beginners can come and we will always strive to accommodate their needs no matter what they might be. We have a very neurodiverse approach and do what we can to ensure they all have fun.
Children aged 3 and above are welcome to any of our hobby horse events and we can cater to anyone. With our classes being group into age ranges you can feel assured that no matter what your childs age is we will have something to put a smile on their face.
This really depends on the person participating and can vary from small to large jumps. Whether 10cm or 2 feet our events and classes are designed to cater to all children’s ages and we ensure that safety is of paramount importance. The biggest factor for us is to ensure that every person that attends leaves with a smile and wanting to come back again and again.
At our hobby horse competitions every child wins a rosette in every class so it really does not matter what age or level your child is at they will get that great feeling of participation with smiles all round. We also award 1st-6th rosettes to ensure that all the children that complete a clear round and do the ‘jump off’ the quickest are recognised for their effort.
