The recent Your Horse Live event at Stoneleigh Park, NAEC Coventry, from November 7th to 10th, saw an impressive turnout of 23,000 visitors over three days. This equestrian competition and shopping exhibition is a major highlight of the equestrian calendar, showcasing the best in the industry, including brands like Crafty Ponies, LeMieux, Pony Club, and Pony Mag.
Among the exhibitors was Hobby Horse Adventures, which ran a trade stand and free hobby horsing activity. Known for promoting activities for children that are healthy, wholesome, sociable, and that increase motor skills, focus, fun, and fitness, Hobby Horse Adventures made a significant impact at the show. Their stand became a popular hub for children looking to take a break from shopping and enjoy a free, fun activity riding custom-made hobby horses over Skyes Jumps, with ByAstrup loan ponies adding to the experience.
Parents were pleasantly surprised to learn about the hobby horse competitions across the UK, which Hobby Horse Adventures organises most weekends in locations across Yorkshire, the Midlands, and Lincolnshire. These competitions are part of an ever-expanding network aiming to increase awareness and participation in hobby horsing in the UK.
Throughout the event, Hobby Horse Adventures met with top equestrian brands such as LeMieux, Pony Club, Shetland Pony Grand National, and Freestep, discussing potential collaborations to further the fun new sport of hobby horsing. The stand also welcomed many existing customers and friends from the hobby horse circuit.
Elowen, a young enthusiast, had a memorable experience meeting influencers Esme, Harlow, and Ben Atkinson, and showing them her Shellys Handmade Hobby Horse. Ben Atkinson’s horse training demos and stunt shows were a major attraction throughout the weekend.
Showcasing brands like Buckberry Hobby Horses, ByAstrup, HKM, Shellys Handmade Hobby Horses, Laurel Designs, and MyHobbyYourHorse, Hobby Horse Adventures also displayed versatile jumps by SkylineShowJumps, suitable for both horses and hobby horses.
A daily competition at the stand allowed children to enter a prize draw to win exciting prizes like a Pony Creative Hobby Horse colouring book, a Crafty Pony Foal set, or a RockStarRocking Horse Crochet your own pony or bridle charm.
The event was a resounding success for Hobby Horse Adventures, which enjoyed engaging with new families and hopes to return annually with an even larger activity area, providing kids a delightful break from shopping while their parents relax with a well-earned rest.
