Hobby Horse Event – Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre
25th & 26th April 2026

Join us at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, Organsdale Farm, Middlewich Rd, Tarporley, Cheshire CW6 0SR for an action-packed weekend of hobby horse fun as part of the Horse Trials! While the real horses are flying round the course, you can be in the arena too – no experience needed.

Check in opens at 11:30am where riders collect their number, warm up and get ready. Parents can relax with a coffee or visit the on-site café (camp chairs welcome!). Classes start from 12pm (not before) and run throughout the afternoon. Timings are approximate.

Show Jumping Classes:
30cm Clear Round with optional timed jump-off
40cm Show Jumping
50cm Semi-Advanced
60cm Advanced – ready to test your skills?

Fun & Games Classes:
Accumulator
Chase Me, Charlie (the jump gets higher each round!)
Grand National (teams of three race for medals)
Barrel Racing

Best Turned Out / Fancy Dress

Classes are £10 each, including a rosette or medal depending on the class. Don’t have your own hobby horse? Loan ponies are available for £5.

This is a fun, inclusive event designed for all abilities. Whether you’re brand new or already practising at home, everyone is welcome.

There is an on-site café in the main building. If bringing a dog, please check venue rules in advance.

Important: Hobby Horse Adventures provides the activity, but this is a parentally supervised event. A trained first aider and DBS-enhanced safeguarding lead will be on site. Hobby Horse Adventures accepts no liability for accidents or theft.
